1. Check that you have received the invite to share the unmarked version of your allotted Paper 3 essay

2. Have your Paper 3 Mark bands ready. Read the essay and using the editing tools mark on the score (in colour) that you would give the essay at the end.

3. Using the editing tools, highlight and annotate areas of the essay that match the criterion mark band that you awarded. The Paper 3 rubric will help you. These could include:
a) Areas of knowledge and understanding:
Is the information accurate?
Does the essay show depth of knowledge or is it vague?
Is the selected information used effectively?
Does the essay use appropriate terminology?
b) Areas of analysis and evaluation:
Does the introduction outline an argument?
Is the essay structured as an argument that addresses the question or is it a narrative?
Does the essay make connections between different aspects of the Americas? (Domestic-regional-international)
Does the essay include counter-arguments and different perspectives?
Does the essay show an understanding of the views of historians?

4. Save your changes and share/exchange with a fellow group member. Do you agree on the marks that you have awarded? Discuss and be ready to defend your scores in our plenary!
